NON-DOMESTIC RHI SCHEME
The Non-Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) scheme is a tax-free income for commercial or district heating schemes.
By commercial we mean business premises and district heating mean multi dwellings, such as social housing or housing developments that share the same heat pump system and technology.
Because commercial and district heating potentially becomes carbon-neutral a much larger square foot area than a single residential dwelling, the RHI incentive, funded by the Government, is much larger. Lasting up to 20 years, this quarterly income encourages a net-zero carbon future and is financially very appealing in terms of a long-term income to pay back the initial outlay on the renewable heating scheme.
